  • Anyone using Cubase 4 and Vienna SE on Intel Mac?

anyone using this combo on an Intel Mac? I'm tired of Logic and still cannot get my head around DP (rendering VIs SUCKS on that program) and I gave Cubase 4 a good work out at my local music store yesterday. I also own HALion Symphonic Orchestra which works nicely with Cubase but I wonder how my Vienna SE will be recognized by it since I think Cubase doesn't register AU instruments.....anyone?

    Hi David,

yes, both AU and VST versions are included on the Software CD´s, but I´d still recommend to get the latest version from your user area.

    Best,

  • thanks Paul. I just downloaded it. I also looked up VST in my Macbook and discovered that almost all of my plug-in libs had a VST version or wrapper.

However, I'm told that the VST version on Macs don't work as well as AU plug-ins. Any truth to this???

Steinberg doesn't support AU, as they invented VST.

So I'm sure that it will work fine then. I really like the new Cubase. also having Motif sounds at my disposal is a nice addition.
