  • Trumpet Piccolo errors ?

Could you please tell me why not all the Trumpet Piccolo patches reach the higher F ?
I'm finishing a piece in F Major and can't play the final note…
Take for exemple the 23 PTR_sus_VIb-progr

it's highest note is E, and BTW the sound is as if it was a loop !

And furthermore it seems that the sound is not quite clean
Listen carefully, you can hear a pop every second starting the first half second:

    Thanks for your help

  • If I remember right (it was recorded 2001) not all articulations could be performed up to highest notes.
The progressive vibrato is one this patches.
Strong vibrato and no vibrato go up to the high F.

    The patch is not looped.

  • thanks Herb,

Is there ANY looped vibrato patch I could use ? can't find any…

And what about the sound quality ?

    Thanks for your fast response

  • All sustains except the progressive vibrato should be looped:

    21 PTr_sus_Vib-light
    22 PTr_sus_Vib-strong
    24 PTr_sus_noVib

  • I'm loosing actually some precious time.
I tried to take another vibrato sound (up to E) and move the master tune to 466.16

(thanks to this wonderfull utility) --> SCAL (bottom left of the page)
    http://www.expdigital.co.uk/freeware.htm

    but I can't move more than 460 a little bit less than a semitone…

  • What about the pitchwheel? It does the same as the Mastertune, and you can transpose up a wholetone if you need.

  • Thanks Herb, the 22 PTr_sus_Vib-strong is reaching the F note '-)

But I hear some click and pops while playing the F note, is that normal ?

  • Herb - you guys should really incoorporate a way for use to extend/stretch the range of samples. Would be a nice (and pretty votal) feature. [H]

For sure, it can help a lot sometimes.

Herb, any info concerning the sound quality ?
