Hi to all Sample Artists
I have finished Part 3 of the tutorial “Strings Arrangements”
Contents:
Play a melody with Mantovani’s smearing effect
(a romantic and sweet strings application)
Another interesting point is “the legato connected with the bow of strings”. Like brass and wind instruments it isn’t possible to play an endless legato with string instruments. Sometime the player has to change the bow direction from down stroke to up stroke – There is an example how to handle it…
Further you will get the trick “how to play single notes with the same pitch into each other with VI. This means for example “how to play a crescendo out of a sustained tone...”
And finally I’m going to show the compressor effect. Sometimes we need it even if we play classical music. There is an application example beside some compressor explanations...

And just for fun: 4 differnt VI-Snippets
Cathedral St. Quen (attention at 1:02, I would like to see these girls)
Irish Coffee (or Vienna Coffee?)
Mallet Bossa (with dfh Superior Drums)
