  • problem with VI version 1.11, please help

    Hello,

I just installed version 1.11 on my Quad and my G5.
On the Quad (Vienna runs there as a plug-in for Logic) everything seems to be ok. I could load the song I worked on last friday.
On the G5 (I run Vienna there as a stand-alone with Ploque Bidule) I get a warning (barely readible, because it appears very short once every fifteen seconds or so, and then dissapears again), which seems to read: Custom Folder is unaccessible, please use directory manager to specify a new custom data folder.
What must I do. When I start the directory manager I see a list of folders with the instruments I have on the G5. I also see to the right 'custom folders...'. When I click that I see this again at the bottom. When I click that I see '/users/gerardbeljon/Vienna Instruments Custom Data. When I click 'browse' I see this folder (it is empty). I click 'choose'. Then restart Ploque Bidule. I get the same window warning 'Custom Folder is unaccessible..etc.
Please tell me exactly the steps I have to take to repair this.
I want to work today, not fiddle for hours with this problem. [:'(]

    Greetings,

    Gerard

  • Hello,

I just discoverd that in Logic the song is loaded with the correct matrixes (saxophones), but there are no sounds!
Is this the same problem? I don't know what to do with this directory manager to solve this problem. It must have something to do with the installation of VI 1.11, because even yesterday before the installation everything was there and working properly.
Please advise me what to do.

  • Gerard,

    About your Custom Data Folder:
Please make sure its permissions are set to "read & write"

If this does not help, please simply create a new Custom Data folder somewhere and set this one in Directory Manager.

    Best, Marnix

  • Hello Marnix,

    Thank you!
    This seems to work.

    Greetings,
