  • Load errors: Cannot find ...wav files

    Hi
Suddenly I have a lot of errors when loading a perform or matrix.
Long lists of files( one for each sample I think ) that is missing. This happens on two of my machines - strange.

does it mean that the install files have been corrupted or maybe the registry?

  • two thoughts ... the volume where the samples reside went to sleep or you have an expired demo license on your key preventing something from loading ...
third option: you try to load strings patches, but have splitted orch strings I and II on two machines (ViennaKeys)

  • SapKiller,

The same thing happened to me the other day with my App Strings and a few other volumes.

I had to remove them from the Directory Manager, reboot, then reload each volume
one at a time and reboot again.

    Everything has been fine since.

Not sure why it happend since I have not change anything on my computer for weeks if not months now.

    Hope that helps.

  • Hi
David, I tried your method - and it solved the problem on one of the machines - so txh. However i did not solve the problem on the other one,
so I suppose I'll jusy have to reinstall [:'(]

  • Hello David,

as mentioned in my reply to your topic, you can drag and drop the folders of all the content you want to have assigned in the Directory Manager directly from your browser into the DM. That doesn´t take that long!

Yes, the drag and drop from Windows Explorer is what I did but I had to do each volume by itself.

If I dragged. a bunch of volumes into the DM they would show up but the VI would still give the errors SapKiller is experiencing.

I had to do one at a time for it to work.

    SapKiller,
Its weird that it worked for one computer and not another.

I would try again before giving up and going through the hours of a reinstall.

  • i'd recommend to reboot after adding filepaths to make sure they are re-read (or at least log-off/log-on) - advanced users on windows could also just kill the vsldaemon process

  • Hi cm,

If you kill th vsldaemon process does it just restart itself when you try to launch the VI?

    David

  • yes - but do not kill the synsopos process, then you _have_ to reboot,
and this applies to windows only
