  • X-button??

    Hello,

    About the Patch assign page:
In the manual I read: (...)You will have noted that every cell display shows not one but two slots. You can fill the second slot with another Patch, giving you aces to two articulations at once. By holding <Apple> while you drag a patch, you can also fill it directly into the second slot of any cell in the matrix grid.

The patches can be crossfaded by activating the 'X'button between the two slots.

    Questions:
a.What do you mean by two slots? I can drag the borders of the cell display to show as many slots as I want, not just two. Or is this just to simplify things?

    b. Why hold <Apple> while dragging a patch to a second slot? You can drag it without this command and put it in the second slot. Why the command?

    c. I do not see any X button between slots.

This will all sound very stupid, maybe I am looking on the wrong page or something.
    Sorry about that.

    Greetings,

    Gerard

  • Each cell consists of two slots.
That's why you'll see two edit buttons in the cell area (upper and lower one)
If the upper cell is filled, you can drag a second one in the lower field.
If both cells are filled you'll see a big X between these two cells.

    On the video tutorial page

  • Hello Herb,

I looked at the bottom of the page, because these squares look the most like cells [:)] Sorry.
I still don't see why I have to use the <Apple> command to drag them.

    Greetings,

    Gerard

  • I think the "apple" drag is thought if you move patches diretctly to the cell matrix.
Moving directly to the matrix speed ypur workflow up. Because you don't have to select any cell before you drag a patch to it.

So without "apple" you would overwrite the patch loaded there. With "apple" drag the patch is placed in the second slot (if already a patch is loaded in the first slot)
