    I'm waiting to upgrade to a Mac Pro until EVERYTHING I use is either Universal Binary or Intel Native. (Soon, I hope!) Meanwhile, I'm perking along reasonably well with my Dual 1.42 G4 with the 2gb RAM maximum.

    I'm thinking of picking up AP strings as a first toe in the water before upgrading my Pro Edition to the VI Symphonic Cube later this year. (I know...if I buy the Cube first I'll save on the extended AP library. But we spend what we can when we can, right? Plus AP will come in handy for a project coming up soon.)

    So my question is...anyone running AP strings on a similar G4 rig? Any problems? How many instances, etc.?

    fred, of course this depends what else is running on this computer but i'd say you should reach 6, if not 8 instances, although you might hit the memory limit earlier than the CPU limit and so had probably to be careful in selecting your patches.
