  • Appassionata Strings Effects - Notation ?

First, this patches are wonderful ! This new product is a "dream comes true" [H]

    My questions are :

    - How can we notate them ?
    - Are the notes in the random pizz patch different or the same but in different register ?

    Thanks [[;)]]

The cluster chords are three adjacent semitones. The random pizz samples sound like the players are improvising after being given some verbal guidelines. Bit of a nightmare to notate!

    >Are the notes in the random pizz patch different or the same but in different register ?

They seem to follow the same rough pattern starting on progressively higher notes as you go up the keyboard. Each sample is mapped over two adjacent keys, so you get a new sample every tone.

  • Can we write some notes and write adlib above ?

  • That technique works fine.

Here's just one example of how such things might be notated, but there's no one single *proper* way-- except that which gets the point across to the musicians most effectively.

You may have to scan the page to see the noteheads in parenthesis--
