  • Appassionata strings/Orch I

    Hi VIusers!

I already own: solo, Orch I & chamber strings in their standard libraries.

I make strings arrangements for various projects & I was near to purchase Orch I extended library (at least) when I make up my mind that Appassionata strings could be a great complementarity option in order to have some good wide lush & romantic effects...

I know tha's a lil bit personal & subjective but if anyone already own appassionata & could gimme some personal opinion it should highlight my choice!

Do I have to purchase standard library to own the extended one?

Is the difference between standard Orch I & Appassionata samples huge?
My idea was to mix Orch I with Appassionata to have both: realistic Orch I effect & lush romantic appassionata one...

    Is it a good option?

Or maybe the clever choice would be to purchase standard & extended appassionata library?

All opinion, point of view & experiences are welcome!!!

    Thanx a lot in advance!

    Fab.

  • I have both Orch Strings I+II (Std + Ext) and Apassionata (Std+Ext) and do string arrangements for many styles as well. If you want a big lush sound than start with Appassionata (you should have standard and extended.) Then at some point get Orch Strings I+II because it has far more articulations as well as muted strings, string runs and other valuable samples.

You must have standard first in order to aquire extended on all VI libraries. Also I suggest always getting extended library at some point since many vital samples are found there.
