[edit] Nevermind - Bjarne had a sequencer fix.

VI Request - Small but important...

Well I'm not sure I understand either...but if you set the "zero controllers
at stop" in the sequencer options it will zero the on/off switch. (=off)
when you stop it btw. the 1 min. mark and the 2 min. mark
Then using the controller searchback option it will on start search back to the latest controller info ( here at the 1 min mark ) and thus switch it on
again.
In short:
If you restart from the stopping point btw 1 and 2 it will do a searchback
and switch on Xfade
If you restart the entire sequence from 0:00 after a stop btw. 1 and 2 it will start with the switch off, then switch it on at the 1 min mark and
again off at the 2 min mark.
Would'nt this solve your problem?

Hi Sap - yes, that might solve it - I'll have to try (I was not aware of such a sequencer option).
