    I wonder if anyone cares to speculate about when the 96khz versions of VI will be released? 2008? 2010? It will certainly throw a wrench into anyones well planned specs for future machines when considering that... I wonder what kind of machines we will need to run 250 live stereo instances of 24 bit 96khz VI through surround sound MIR......

    Don't worry - by then we will have 32-core machines with 128gb ram ( costing the same as 4 gb today ) - 3000 FSB, 4TB HD's spinning at 30000 rpm, with access times below 1ms - and making no noise at all. [:D]
    Only problem - it will run Windows HastaLaVista [8-)]

    Hmm..

    Maybe by then the machines could run today's 24-bit/44.1 version?
