How would I modify the pitch of one layer of strings for a fatter sound? ...Tom
Another solution- Transpose the desired midi-track one half tone up. (two halftones with OPUS-libraries)
- Create an audio file with this midi-track.
- Then transpose (pitch down) back this audio file to the original key.
..Do this with the audio effect possibilities of your host program.
..Take the option "pitch -1 half tone/same length".
- If you want: Do the same procedure by transposing the original midi track one half tone down ... and back.
This procedure gives you a
real 3 voice played result.
Remark:
If you play your original audio track several times but always with little detuned frequencies you will get not the same effect because the (detuned) sounds are always based on the same samples.
Then it is a sort of a chorused effect - so to say - which is of course a possibility as well. > Use a Chorus/Ensemble - effectOne more "help" from my side:Here some instructions about "how to use the pitchbend"
All the best
