    Hello,
    I need some help on long notes specially with brass: for example load the 03 PTr_perf-legato-Vib and play two notes for exemple C4-E4(high) and hold the E4 on keyboard at 120=quarter, I can achieve at max three beats of length?!
    Is the crossfade cell with another patch the only solution? But in solo it's not easy to keep the timbre and panoramique homogene?

    Did you try to release just before the last note ? in the "real" life, musicians will take a breath before a long (and high) note. I'm not talking about a long silence, just a little bit.

    The "problem" you heard is the transition. So, on this way you reset the legato mode.

    Thanks for an answer, but with my poor english I think that nobody understand what is my demand (query)..I
    Try again It happens espicially with brass legato patch but with also a lot of legato in general .. For exemple a musical phrase with two notes, I want to have the articulation legato ( de-e for woodwind player) so I don't want any attack on the second and no hole between the two notes.
    The melody is for example C E and _=length of the note I want two have:
    C_E_________ , so I choose a legato patch for this and overloap a little the second note with the fisrt note But I obtain this C_E___ the E note stops before I release the key of my keyboard.
    The length of the E is short (1 to 1.5 sec with brass legato patch). Why??!

    So what I do: I take another patch with long notes and use the Cell Xf possibility, but often the timbre, phasing, different panning is audible..and takes time to make and adjust a good crossfade so my question is :
    How do you manage this?What I do wrong?

    You are doing nothing wrong. The legato notes are not looped, so you have either to cell xfade (as you mention) or keyswitch to a sus articulation. I think that some instruments have an automatic xfade to the sus patch, but I can't remember which ones, so there might be nothing for the trumpet ensemble.

    Yeah, or, they could just sample the guys actually holding the notes as long as notes actually get held in real life, and as high as they are played in the real world[;)]
