    Is AS a totally new product ? I mean, is it all strings (vln, vla, cello, cbs) ? or the same we already have ? (orchestral strings - Pro Edition - users)

    How has the violin been expanded articulationwise? When will we see more info regarding general content of the new stuff? Very interesting...

    The violins are slightly expanded.
    Primary some basic articulations, so that the collection works also for users who do not own our orchestral strings:
    detaches, pizz, tremoli
    And further some special effects, like clusters and random pizz.

    Violins, violas, cellos offer the same artciculations like appassionata violins plus these extensions.

    There will be more product infos, and articulation lists on the product page in a few weeks. (like at all other released products)

    I've mixed in VSL cellos with a real orchestra and they sounded great so that means they're at least "good". [:)]

    The Appassionata Strings are considered a seperate collection as in Epic Horns (is my understanding) so I don't think there's an upgrade path.

    Where can I find more info on this package? I know that it's been available only to Pro owners but as a separate collection... Price, release date, etc...

    Can one imagine a 'triple octave' sweeping string line with Vln, VA and especially the Cellos. [[;)]]

    Not familiar with the "Extended Library". What's the difference...? Must be a lot since its price is almost identical to the main Appassionata library.

    How will this differ from Orchestral Strings 1 and 2? Is this a more "epic, film score" -sounding string library? Will there be a solo violin as well?

    According to the blurb, the sections are much bigger.

    Regarding the sounds from what I hear in the Appassionata Violins there is much more of a concentration on over-the-top expressiveness and a few dubious things like out-of-tune notes. However, unlike some other libraries, these notes are out-of-tune by design. [:D]
