More explanation for 1.1 ?

Dear VSL team,
i have installed the version 1.1
Many thanks.
But some i dont understand some points :
Can someone explane ?

1)Cells of a Matrix can be dragged around by holding the Alt key, or copied by holding Alt+Ctrl.


2)The Preset save/delete function has been added directly to the plug-in.

3)New shortcuts for defining key switches: Hold shift to select white/black keys only, hold ctrl to set a chromatic scale, hold alt to set just one key switch only.

4)- The Directory Manager now supports presets.

Below the "Rescan existing" button, you have now a "Preset" button.
With this button you can save your actual Directory Manager setup.
So you can make presets for Solo Strings, Chamber Orchestra or Large Orchestra for example. You don't have to unload and load several folders, if you need a different setup.

Just checking: Will all old settings still work in v1.1? In other words, will a Logic song that used an earlier AU version still load correctly?

If you close the GUI of any VI in your host, it will open on the page you've left before closing (Preset Select, Matrix Assign, Patch Assign, Control Edit, Perform - Control, or Perform - Map control)

Hi Herb,

First of all thanks for the update and also the unexpected gift of the Choir programmes for Symphonic Cubers.

I am trying the alt and alt+ctrl copying functions to try and move/copy cells in the "Patch Assign" window. I don't seem to be able to get this to function to work either in an au or the standalone (I'm PPC 10.4.8/Logic 7.2.3 and Vienna 1.1)

I, for example, load a Cello Solo matrix then create a third row of empty cells. Then I try to alt drag to move or alt+ctlr to copy and nothing happens except the cursor moves and highlights the empty destination cell. I did restart after updating and everythig else appears to be in order.

Also any chance that if you change screensets in Logic when you return to the screenset with the VI in that you don't have to re-open it. (for example if I toggle between an arrange screenset and a score preset everytime I return to the arrange screenset the VI instance has closed itself.

its a "Mac thing" [:)]

On a Mac cells can be dragged around by holding the command key (="Apple key"), or copied by holding Alt+command (="Apple Key").

Die komplett überarbeitete und neu programmierte Benutzeroberfläche ermöglicht schnellere Lade- und Reaktionszeiten. Somit können jetzt mehr als 10 Instanzen gleichzeitig auf dem Bildschirm angezeigt werden.
Das Plug-in speichert die zuletzt geöffnete Seite.
Mit den Program-Change-Befehlen 101 – 112 kann nun zwischen Matrizen umgeschaltet werden.
Die Matrix wurde komplett überholt und kann nun mit der Maus durch Ziehen der Ränder in der Größe angepasst werden.
Die Zellen einer Matrix lassen sich mit der Maus bei gleichzeitig gedrückter [ALT]-Taste verschieben oder mit [ALT]-[CTRL] kopieren.
Im Cell Editor kann die Transponierung in Halbton- und Oktavschritten vorgenommen werden.
Der Dynamikumfang (Anschlagsempfindlichkeit) kann im Cell Editor eingestellt werden.
Überarbeitetes Informations-Display
Die Matrix-Save/Delete-Funktionen wurden in die Arbeitsfläche der Matrix integriert.
Presets können jetzt direkt im Plug-in gespeichert oder gelöscht werden.
Das Ansprechverhalten der Slider wurde verbessert: Rechtsklick = Learn, wiederholter Rechtsklick = Clear, [ALT]-Klick = Editieren der Controller Parameter. Das Bewegen eines Sliders bei gleichzeitig gedrückter [SHIFT]-Taste bewirkt dessen Feinjustierung.
Zusätzliche Einstellmöglichkeiten von Key Switches: Ein Key Switch kann nun auch durch Mausbewegung bei gedrückter linker Maustaste oder durch Klicken der Rollpfeile neben dem Key-Namen ausgewählt werden.
Neue Shortcuts zur Festlegung von Key-Switches: [SHIFT], um nur schwarze oder weiße Tasten auszuwählen. [CTRL] zur Auswahl chromatischer Skalen. [ALT] zum Setzen eines einzelnen Key-Switches.
Karteireiter auf der Perform Seite wurden neu angeordnet.
Das vertikale/horizontale Umschaltverhalten des Pitch Wheels wurde verbessert.
Zahlreiche optische Optimierungen wie die Matrix 1-2 Auswahl, Neuanordnung der Parallel Cell sowie das verbesserte Farb- und Schriftbild etc. machen die Arbeit noch einfacher und übersichtlicher.
Der Directory Manager unterstützt jetzt auch Presets.
