    can VI be used as a stand alone in Windows XP?

    Like on ASIO or something? just by itself?

    Alternatively, is the RTAS version out yet? Or is there going to ben RTAS version in the future?

    i just intended to point to the About the User Inteface menu to find out, it isn't mentioned there .... it is mentioned in the system requirements popup from the product pages ...

    yes, the Vienna Instruments Player can be used stand-alone (XP, OS X) or via VST (XP, OS X) and AU (OS X)
