Gents,
I am looking for the best SATA HD or combination of, to use with VI and my old reliable 2.o Ghz dual processor Mac. I am consistently getting Western Digital's Raptor with a 150 GB of space, 10,000 RPM and 16MB Cache. They also make a SATA II, 250 GB, 7,500 RPM HD which also has a 16MB Cache. Does it make a diffference which one I go with in terms of perfromance? Will any one of you co-sign this sort of setup.
1. SATA PCI card 8 inputs
2. 4-Bay SATA Enclosure (That's four 150 GB SATA HD, 10,000 RPM)
All connected to a Power Mac G5 2.0 Ghz Dual processor
