  • Does this have Breath Controller input?

    DG

  • Novation is Good, i have ordered. Thanks

  • I too bought a Novation Remote ... but the previous generation.
The x-y touch pad is amazing for controlling the VI in 2 dimensions with just one controller.

I use the Y axis to control cross-fade between p and f samples, and use the x axis to control expression (for attack and fades).

I would like to use the aftertouch to control fading between vibrato and non-vibrato in two cells ... but VSL haven't implemented aftertouch as a controller yet.

Question: Does a breath controller have to use a special type of input on a midi-controller ... or can expression be used ?

    Thanks

  • AFAIK BC needs a special input. Some keyboards/controllers have it (CME) but most do not. In those cases you have to get a little conversion box from MIDI Solutions. However, this in itself is about the same price as a small CME keyboard, so it almost feels like a waste of money.

  • Picked up a Yamaha S90 ES. GREAT piano action, mulitple sliders, BC input, MW, Foot pedals, etc. Lots of control possibilities. Just really love it!
