    I see the system requirements for VI are 10.4 and higher.

    Is there any chance they might run on 10.3.9 even if this OS is not officially supported?

    I nearly made an impulse purchase of solo strings VI last night after watching the QT demo videos again and the only thing that stopped me was when I saw the OS requirements!

    I will upgrade my OS soon (as new releases/ updates start to leave 10.3.9) but I may stick with it for a few more months yet as I am so busy.... (OK I know there's never a good time).

    BTW this is on a G5 dual 1.8 Ghz (PPC) with 3GB ram.

    I'd hoped to start a humble network with an old Mac running 10.3.7. Syncrosoft loaded and it recognized the key, but VI would not recognize Syncrosoft. Maya wrote, "it is necessary to have OS 10.4 installed on your Mac (10.4.6 is recommended), the Vienna Instruments will not work with 10.3!"

    Try if you must, but these kind of ventures tend to create more problems than they're worth.

    Sorry guys, the Vienna Instruments are in fact not compatible with OS 10.3 and I don´t know any tricks to go around it.
