    Sorry if this seems a bit out of topic here, but I have a question to my Scandinavian colleagues:
    Can you tell me the name of the Music God according to Scandinavian mythology?

    While we're at it, if possible, I'd also like to know the name equivalents for German, Roman (Baccus?), and Greek mythologies.

    Please feel free to chime in with the name for your respective culture/mythology.

    I wouldn't know how to pronounce them properly... Maybe you can also tell me how to pronounce them with phonetics?

    Hi,

    are there gods of music at all? I know the Greek muse, Terpsichore. Then there's Pan with his panpipes, who often accompanies Bacchus on his drunken forays. In Indian mythology, as far as I know the nearest to a god of music is Krishna.

    That's all I know, hope it helps a bit at least ...

    Baccus is a God !! Wholly #$%^&. But I don't think he's drunken. It might of been his great grand god. But the present day god is very much productive. I love the way he uses the violins runs.

    I need this info for a Play. The research I´ve done leads me to myriads of pages with wonderful pictures and stories, but I just want the names.

    Roman: Apollo or Apollo Helios
    Greek: Apollo or Apulu
