    A couple of simple questions:

    1. Every instrument has a RELEASE patch - how do you use them?

    2. Performance Interval patches - just what are they?

    I am new to VI and it is quite a steep learning curve so any help would be appreciated.

    Performance intervals are where the transition between two notes has been sampled. For a good example listen to the perf leg patches from the horn or trumpet. You can clearly hear the lip slur as the player skips over the harmonics between notes. The best way for you to learn is to mess around, ask questions and then mess around some more. There are many people here who will help you.
