MIDI error

I have installed VI solo strings and everything look easy end right except for this warning I get
"MIDI device is busy or not functioning at given parameter."
I have a
MOTU 2408 mkIII PCIe
and
MIDISPORT 8x8.
If I play with the mouse on the video keyboard I get everything correct.
If I clickkon "Option" and "Confiigure" I can see all the 8 Midi input but if I choose one the PC (AMD Athlon 3500+ with 3 Giga ram) freeze for a while and then start over.
There is no other Program on the PC.

Hello Sergino,

please change the default Audio driver of your system to your soundcard driver, it should work then.

system audio settings are now
recording
424 1/2
audio output
424 1/2
MIDI output
MDISPORT 1
but I still get the warning and a freezing PC
or maybe I did not understand what you mean with "default Audio driver "??

I have now installed some other Audio programs As a VST plug in Sonar 5 it works!!!
So is only a problem with the standalone (But i need it!)

I don´t ahev an english operating system here, so the words could be wrong (corrections are welcome):

Go to Start, choose System Settings => Sounds and Audiodevices, that´s where the default audio driver of your system will be set.
