    I doubt that this should be VSL. It propably is performed VIENNA SYMPHONIC SOUND ORCHESTRA...

    NOT VSL. Cuase these are the strings I have been waiting for - that VSL unfortunately did not deliver yet!!!!!!!!! [8o|] [[;)]]

    That was indeed a fun track, and while the strings did sound great-- I wouldn't say that this was the best showcase for VSL itself.

    I was impressed with the way the track was mixed. It was a remarkable accomplishment to have the rock-techno-orchestral elements in a "wall of sound" mix with obvious care given to sonic placement of all those elements which compete for attention and often get lost in the wrong engineer's hands (ears). Just when I thought I'd heard enough or "Stairway" for one lifetime, I found that I really enjoyed this track very much, and no mistake about it. To that extent, I'd nominitate it for one of the best demos *of its kind*.

    However, to qualify (imho) for "the best Vienna demo ever" it would have to be a standalone symphonic track which was indistinguishable from a real orchestral track in a blind side-by-side comparison listening test. The rhythm section does draw attention away from the orchestral detailing, so unless I was told that this was done with Vienna, I couldn't have guessed it.

    But high kudos go to the arranger/orchestrator/visionary responsible for this adaptation. That meant more to me than enything else.

    still not sure if you are joking around ... but have a search on V.S.O.P or Wiener Symphoniker & Christian Kolonovits
    and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds.
