ADAT Light Pipe Question for G5......

Hi,

I now have 3 G5s....(soon it will be 4)

My Main G5 has a Metric Halo FireWire interface, that has 1 ADAT Light pipe jack(8 channels) on the back.

What I am looking for is a box which I plug all the Slave G5s into (using their built-in digital/optical outs..........(which are NOT to be confused with ADAT Lightpipe, even though the connectors are the same)........then the box "merges" them together into one ADAT litepipe, which plugs neatly into my Metric Halo.

Not that I know of, and I think the only way to do it - this should work - is to stick one of these on your main machine for each slave G5, and create an Aggregate Device in Audio MIDI Setup:

Then for sync, you diasy-chain Toslink from one G5 to the other for sync, with the first one locked to the output of one of the Edirol boxes.

Pretty inelegant, though. It's just too bad the Mac version of FX-Teleport isn't ready.
