    How much ram should I stuff into my G5s? They can hold up to 8 gigs each and my main Quad G5 can hold 16. (has 4.5 now) Note, I dont want to buy ram that wont be used!! I was planning to have like 4 gigs of ram in each G5. any seggestions?

    I have a Dual 2.7 and was loading 5 instances of Orch I+II Strings, each with three preset matrixes (lot's of ram usage.) I was crashing all the time with 4.5 gigs of ram so I went to 6.5 and all is well. As many have said, a certain amount of overhead is necessary with ram to keep the system running well.
