Hello,
Since I got Altiverb and used it first on my dual 1.25 ghz G4 (1,5 GB RAM) 2 months ago, nearly every time I reload my current Logic project, Altiverb causes freezing the whole system.Sometimes it doesn't happen, but most of the time I have to reboot for 3 or 4 times. So my nerves got damaged enough ... [:)]
For me it seems to be a frquency or sample duration problem at the first use of Altiverb during a session. When I play the first notes into the sequencer - addressed to an audio instrument (EXS-24), Altiverb starts its engine first, because you can see when the mouse pointer changes to the audioease logo. At that moment, Logic is freezed and sometimes the whole system crashes. It happens mostly with a xylophon patch, but since a while it also occurs at violin ensembles (Strings general).
Has someone experienced similar situations on his Logic Platinum 6 system and does somebody know how to fix that problem?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Hans-Peter.
