  • VI on XP with Boot Camp?

Hi everyone. I wanted to ask if anyone had tried VI with XP on a new Intel Mac? I'm using my g5 right now but i might need to be mobile so i was thinking boot camp was a viable option for my gear (i use Cubase) until the transistion was over. Seeing that a dual 2.16ghz is about as fast as any pc laptop can get it seems that power shouldn't really be an issue. Any ideas? Thanks!

Just a general comment about computers running VI. RAM will be an issue WELL BEFORE you have to deal with CPU cycles. I have an older 2.8 ghz machine and the performance meter never goes over 25% (tons of notes flying this way and that.) RAM however - I am always hitting the 1.6 ghz limits (with 2 gig ram). Check out Mattias' work on LAA - I will take this plunge this week.
