    HI all,

    Ok .......


    As we now know VSL-server has it's own memory and does NOT affect Logic's memory......

    My session has 2 Gig's worth of VIs running.

    So, why is it that when I launch some Kontakt 2 instances in Logic7...I get a message saying that Memory is running low? ( I then get really bad artifacts when playing a Kontakt Instrument....

    I did some trouble shooting......Instead of Kontakt2 instances, I opened a butt-load of EXS24 instances 1.5Gig's worth and all is well??

    I'm stumped.........


    and ..yes before you ask, the Kontakt2 stuff is set to DFD.


    I have 7 gig of RAM

    2 gig's worth of VIs are open....

    meaning that I have AT LEAST 2 Gig available for additional EXS24s (which work) OR 2 Gig worth of Kontakt2 (which break -up )

    The reason I'm running the Kontakt2 versions of the old EXS24 instances, is because of the advanced, KeySwitch and scripting options.....these tools enable me to create custom Matrices in Kontakt 2 that work just like Vienna Instruments...

    Finally picked up KONTAKT 2. Wow, what a great interface after using EXS for so long! Worked right out of the box and was wonderfully documented.

    So...where do we find custom scriptings that so we can effectively use our old EXS Pro Cube samples?

    Kontakt2 is A BEAST


    In instrument / GFroup Editor / under start-group options........

    Here you can set up key-switches etc, etc, etc.....

    However, I was hoping that there were some enterprising individuals out there who already had some prepared and sitting on the web somewhere.

    Sure VI does...just bu a side license, and you will have the entire Library in Kontakt 2 with all the bells and whistles...

    The entire library is available in K2? 1st and pro edition? I didn't think that was true but only Horizon was available in K2.
