Is there some reason why the keystrokes for different instruments are not consistent? For example, the sustain note keystroke for the "violin all" patch is one half step different than the sustain note keystroke on the "viola all" patch. It would certainly help matters if one note were used across the board for all but the lowest notes, so we could memorize them and not have to refer to the manual all the time. Is this something that might be implemented at some point in the near future?

Keystroke consistency across different instruments?

Hello Primadonna,
The violins offers short and medium short detaches (0'3s and 0'5s)
The other strings only medium short detaches.
So I had to decide:
1 leaving out the short detaches for the violins
2 mapping the medium detaches for the other strings on two keyswitches
3 little inconsistence in the keyswitch scheme
Sometimes it was not so easy to find the right solution. I simply prefered the third option at last.
Finally the Pro Edition is supporting the consistence you wish.
best wishes

[:'(] I can't afford the Pro Edition at this time... more's the pity. I would love it, though.
I guess my suggestion would be to put any additional sounds, in this case the extra detache', up further; utilizing notes above the F# or G. That way, you could learn an "across the board" style for keyswitching yet still have those additional sounds and methods to use, and those would be the only ones requiring extra thought!
I'm happy to hear it is across the board for those users who get the Pro Edition. I'm sure that will make things easier for them.
