    I'm having the same problem as others have experienced in installing the Solo Strings VI Library content. I'm running Mac OS 10.4.5 on a G5 Quad and have successfully installed the Standard licence and the latest 1.0.5 VI software but the library installer on the DVD won't startup.

    Unfortunately, a link posted in a similar thread no longer has the updated (1.03) library installer listed, neither is it found in my User Area - Downloads.

    Please can somebody help - I'm keen to get started here!

    Also, can I just get some views on what version of Synchrosoft Mac users are having success with now? I've installed the version that came on the DVD (4.9.8.3) but have completely lost track of the conversations about which version is best to use at present.

    And one other thing....I've put my licence ontoa Cubase/Halion Synchrosoft dongle that I happened to have, but of course I don't have the extended content demo on there. How do I get hold of this?

    colin, the respective manuals are either already or will be soon online.
    the (ViennaInstrument software) installer has been changed in a way, that the Library Installer can be found in your applications folder already.
    we found this to be a good idea, because it should simplify the installation process itself and you will always have the newest version of the library installer available without the need to update it seperately.

    after launching the library installer you have to point to the package.info on your DVD1

    ps: another reason for this decision was, that OSX asked to copy the library installer to your desktop and run it from there anyway, because otherwise the system would not allow the change of DVDs ... a strange behaviour, but - well - we have to face it ....
    and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds.

    Doh! Maybe should have checked there, but thanks for coming back so quickly - I wasn't really hopeful of a response on a Sunday [:)]

    Installation is now underway - time for a cup of tea (or ten!).

    Still interested in the latest views on Synchrosoft and how to obtain the Extended content Demo - Though no doubt I'll purchase soon anyway as I already have the Horizon version.
