I'm on Mac.
Could anyone from VSL comment on the use of multiple standalone VI's at the same time... (so as to not be limited by the VSL server RAM !!)
I tried this to gain access to more RAM by copying the ap and running muliple versions at the same time.
It doesn't seem to be very reliable/stable. (I'm not implying that it was made to, of course)
What would be the best way to implement this use of the VI's?
How realistic is this option?
Any suggestions?
What do you guys actually think of this?
How do you suggest we make best use of Ram (in a streamlined manner) ?
Obviously I wouldn't load similar samples in multiple instances. But it would be good to be able to use 1 instance per instrument section no?
BTW. Is there any chance that midi channel would be implemented as a setting for the instance (or per matrix).
It does make sense no?
Midi preference only allows one midi source at the same time. Isn't this a little limited? Some of us have complex rigs with multiple midi routings between multiple keyboards, muliple aps & multiple computers. How about a midi filter preference in the standalone VSL VI?
Thanx for any kind of feedback.
