    sorry if there's already been a post on this, but I'm having trouble using the search engine on this website right now...

    how do you save a preset in plug-in mode...

    ex. I create matrices inside logic, and can only save the individual matrices...what about the whole preset???

    Just save using Logic's <Save setting as..> in the small Vienna window (not the GUI). (ie, as you would normally save a plugin setting). This will be saved in the default Logic path:
    yourdrive/Users/yourname/Library/Application Support/Logic/Plug-In Settings/Vienna Instruments
    Just copy the saved .aupreset file to your default folder for VI Presets. It will then show in the GUI window. VI opens both .fxb and .aupreset format files.

    You can then open the preset via Logic or in the VI GUI window.

    I keep a folder for my presets and another folder for my matrices. Obviously you can have nested folders to avoid clutter and keep organised.
