  • problem with V-stack/Sibelius

    I have succesfull got Sibelius to talk to a VI in V-stack via Maple midi cable (and am quite proud of myself) (I am on one PC)

    However I have immediately come up against two problems;

    1) latency is nearly a whole second!

    2) but more importantly when I play a line of straight semiquavers at crotchet = 100 they play back heavily swung (it is not a problem with playback settings in Sibelius) more like dotted 16th followed by a 32nd.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    1) sounds like you are using the wrong driver for your soundcard. What soundcard are you using?

    Sort out 1) and then worry about 2)....!

    OK, so is V-Stack using this driver or is it set to some sort of multi media cr*p?

    Thanks DG that seems to have been it.

    Next problem was having successfully opened three instance of VI in V-stack when trying to open the fourth (for my string quartet) I got the message "Not enough windows GDI resources to show this interface. Please, close other windows within this application and try again"

    I thought V-stack would host upto 16 VIs?

    OK this has nothing to do with V-Stack's hosting abilities. It has to do with Windows resources. You need to close all the VI windows that you are not using ATM. When you want to load or alter a VI click the icon to show. When you don't click it to hide.
