  • Reverie - Double bass question

    Hello,

I can see keyswitches in the midi file. However, why using up to 3 keys for a note ? what's the reason ?

    Thanks [[;)]]

  • I haven't looked at the MIDI file yet, but there are various reasons to use multiple keyswitches.

    A few examples:

    Change matrix
    Change horizontal patch
    Change dynamic direction for cresc./dim.
    Release sample on/off
    xfade on/off

    etc., etc., etc.

You can see that you need to be virtual octopus to play all this in real time. However, I'm slowly getting there. My new hands are almost grown now, and I'm just waiting for the extra arms to attach them to [:D]

  • C0-F0 = matrix (for example dynamic patches or performance patches or short articulations, etc.)

C1-B1 = specific patch in matrix (stac, det, sus, etc.)

A0/B0 = selects crescendo or diminuendo for dynamic patches.

    That's it.

    Best,
    Jay
