Hmm, I've been trying out the new altiverb 5 demo and I can't say that I'm all that impressed thus far.

I loaded up a few IR's to see what it could do but what it mostly did was just remove all the high end from the test song, making everything sound very very muddy. I realize this is just the demo but it really should be doing everything right.

It seems rather difficult to now what to press in order to make this thing do anything. At the moment Space Designer is winning the race to process my reverbs for me. Anyone have any suggestions on altiverb.

I'm using the demo IR for the Koncerthaus in Vienna, but I'd love to know why it sounds so horrible. There's no vibrance, or high end at all to it. And if I try to use the EQ section I have to boost to the order of 7+db. This seems a little too much. And seems unnecessary. Why is it cutting my high freq's at all?

Also it is ruining the effect of the stereo expander .. dulling it.

Saying that, I do like the look of it, but I'm unconvinced of it's usability.
