    I love the interface and this powerful program is remarkably easy to use.

    One suggestion, you can double click a matrix and have it appear in the left window.

    Could we also double click patches and have them do the same? Right now you have to drag them....

    Just a thought..

    I observed this too. I think I'll be double-clicking on patches for a while before the reflex is "unlearned." Perhaps one might accidentally overwrite a cell too quickly with double-clicking, and that's why the developers decided not to use it. (Or maybe it's coming in the next version.)

    The interface is wonderfully readable, and I'm finding it very intuitive. My favorite part is the immediate visual feedback. It's very clear which MIDI data is calling forth what patch. You can see the why and how of what you're hearing. It's a step ahead of Giga in this respect.

    Plowman...yes, I love the visual feedback. It really feels like HAL is in the studio helping you[;)]

    These comments nearly made my heart leap out of my chest like the creature in the first Alien movie. I am SO happy to hear words like "easy", "intuitive", "immediate".

    Just a short while ago, I got a call telling me that that my order will be here in 1-2 days. I'm really looking forward to this.

    JWL, it's a geek trip for me, that's for sure. The previous performance tools were workable, but VI moves us to a new level of transparency. The wall between the composer and the music just got a lot lower.

    That is too funny!! As long as it doesn't start singing "Daisy", we're going to be okay.

    Seriously, after seeing Paul's live demo in Los Angeles last month and hearing your comments --- and the beta demos-- I can't wait to tear into this.

    In a way, I'm glad that only half the library is being released at a time. I just finished a piece for string orchestra, and I want to do this again with VI strings ASAP.

    Will I ever sleep...?

    I tried to more or less guide the uninitiated user and not let him/her make too many "mistakes" in the course of exploring the GUI. And this was exactly the reason I decided to "switch over" to mouse dragging only. But I might add filling of first cell by double click/enter. In a way it is true that there is a certain inconsistency.
