Hello,
I have my VI standard and extended library installed on a G5 by my local music shop. I run Logic on another G5 Quad. So I will need hosting software.
What hosting software is recommended by VSL?
V-stack is no option, it seems to give problems after a few hours, like shutting itssef down, not reliable enough, standard not enough midi-channels, only via chaining (says my music dealer).
The AU-program that comes with OSX is also no good. It has the right options but seems to be terribly slow (the 'beachball-effect'). It also forgets what ports and channels it used after shut down, so this has to be re-programmed after every start up. Rather primitive.
What I need is a program that is stable, and can contain enough instances of VI, like 64 or so.
Is Logic Express an option for this? I would not like to do that, because it would be an expensive option!
I would like VSL to recommend something for this. This library is so expensive, I cannot be content with buggy or unstable hosting software.
I get the feeling that I have a Ferrari now, but there seem to be only bicycle wheels available for it...
Greetings,
