  • Brass Mutes, Stopped Horns, Ripps and Falls

    Herb

I have been looking at the product info for Brass I & II. and there is no mention of the following articulations:

    1. Muted horn (solo Vienna, horn ensemble, triple and epic).

    2. Stopped horn (triple or epic, limited number of articulations for solo).

    3. Muted Bass Trombone, Tuba, Contra-Bass Tuba.

    4. Rips and falls for solo trumpet, or trombone(s).

Are they planned to be part of VI?

Also for the solo tenor trombone what are mutes A & B?

    Regards

  • I hope so...VSL could really benefit from more FX

    Still waiting for an answer.

  • Sorry for the delay,

A and B are two different mute types (I don't now the right english names at the moment - sorry, I think they are called straight and cup?)

For contrabass tuba we've recorded basic muted articulations, they are no listed at the moment.

There are stopped horn ensembles (a4) and the viennice horns as listed, but no muted horns.
Also no rips and falls for solo trumpet and trombone.

Thanks for the info, but you have not completely answered my question. Which was, is VSL planning to record mutes for the instruments I have mentioned and special effect articulations like rips and falls for other brass instruments?
