    Another question, I'm still trying to get a handle on how many articulations we will be able to do....

    Will it be possible to have, say, the violin section go from Perf Legato, to staccato, to a 3 or 5 second diminuendo? All in one "patch"?

    How many articulations can be "fit" into one matrix/patch before another instance of VI has to be brought up?

    Hi Tom,

    no problem to combine the articulations you've listed in one matrix file.
    All in all you can combine 144 different articulations in one matrix file, and further you can use 12 matrix files in one Vienna Instruments = 1728 different articulations.

    By the way, a Vienna Instrument performance legato articulation includes all intervall samples in all velocities, further repetition samples and release samples. All this together is only one of the possible 1728 articulations.
    Further each articulation could be stacked with one or two other articulations.

    All in all one Vienna Instrument instance could manage more articulations than the most complex instruments (solo violin) offers.

    The philosophy behind the Vienna Instruments is:
    one instrument = one miditrack in your sequenzer/scoring programm

    Kudos from me as well. Will order the FULL upgrade in the next 2 days. Can you speed up the remaining VI titles though to next Thursday and not April. Have an important project coming up and will not be able to WORK the old way [[;)]]

    I figure if you and your team work 24 hours a day (while I get plenty of beauty rest) you could pull this off! [:D]

    Seriously -I doubt I'll be interegrating the stuff into my current templates until I have all 10 collections. Before that it will be kind of a mish mash... So I plan on installing a few collections and trying it out, and getting a hang of it. Then when the collections are here, and I have a pause bewteen projects then I'll install it all. I'm a clean slate kind of guy [[:D]]
