  • Hello Herb,

I am the owner of Opus 1+2, Solo Strings, Chamber Strings, French Oboe, Woodwind Ensemble and Epic Horns. I no longer see a path in the Discount Calculator to upgrade to the Pro edition. Is this still to come? Please say yes !?!?

    Best Regards,

    Barry

  • That's a different calculator, and it's offline at the moment, because we have to revise it for the actual holiday prices.

    best
    Herb

  • Whoa - my discounts are even better than I thought - as far as I'm concerned it's a damn fine deal. [:D]

  • Very Cool!!

    Thank you!!

    Best Regards,

    Barry

  • The Calculator shows that you save the most money buying the Pro Edition and every additional Horizon Product.

    3569€ (Pro Edit.) +
    2028€ (all Hor beside Opus 1 and 2) +
    4220€ (full upgrade) =
    ------------------------------
    8276 €

    vs.

    3569 € (Pro Edit.) +
    5,410 € (full upgrade) =
    -----------------------------
    8979 €

So the savings are additional ... [:P]

    Edit:

    3569€ (Pro Edit.) +
    2028€ (all Hor beside Opus 1 and 2) +
    4220€ (full upgrade) =
    ------------------------------
    8276 €

    THATS WRONG!

    Right:

    3569€ (Pro Edit.) +
    2028€ (all Hor beside Opus 1 and 2) +
    4220€ (full upgrade) =
    ------------------------------
    9817€

So you pay more in the end ...

  • Yes. But bare in mind... You have to add the price of buying the additional horrizon packages. So you save less than you might think just looking at the price examples you posted

  • no its in the "4220€ (full upgrade)" because you get the Full Lybrary (wich is normally 9200€)

Just Klick "Complete Orchestral Package" and all Horizon (beside Opus) and the "BUY" at "Full Library" you'll get 4220€

  • Yeah, if have all these products [:)]

I dont have chamber strings, so I thought I might get it now to see how large a discount I would get. At first it seemed pretty significant, but stupid as I was I forgot to bare in mind that I dont own chamber strings. So I needed to factor in the cost of aquiring chamber strings first. My mistake [:D]

  • No chaps it doesn't make sense to buy the additional components at all - unless you want the individual samples.

Also some Horizon series offer no discount on the full lib.

Here's my calculations to show this

HOR Holiday Price Discount on FULL VI LIBRARY
Solo Str £192 £107 (55% of Holiday Price)
    FrenchO £115 £187 (69%)
    WoodEns £180 £117 (62%)

Therefore if you bought the above three libs it would cost you £487 and only give you a saving of £304. So unless you want the libraries now, or you want the individual samples from them I'd say hold off if you are considering the Full VI Library

In addition some libraries make no change, e.g. FX Perc and Malletts, and Harps gives you a whopping £13 discount.

    Regards

  • As far as I can calculate, the discount you get for owning a Horizon product is LESS than the prize - even with holiday discount - for a Horizon product

    F. ex Epic Horns will give you a 150 Euro discount, but costs 231 Euros...

  • [:P] My arithmetic was for new customer. Its for those who dont have any of these.

  • Thank you Herb. [:D]

Kudos to whomever it was working so hard to get it up. Much appreicated.

    Cheers

every other combination you will loose Money

  • Did anyone notice this issue? Is it just me?

Edit: Sorry, didn't know how to quote another thread. Look for "Is this a flaw - Discount Calcuator"

Also, I'm curious as to whether or not there would be any advantage in buying the key Horizon titles (at discount), BEFORE upgrading to the Pro Edition (at discount), BEFORE upgrading to the extended VI library?

As the main Pro Edition discount calculator is currently offline, does anyone know if this might be a valid money-saving strategy?

    Colin

Some more user comments of disagreement and the price will go up further. [:D]

  • Curious as to when the Discount Calculator for upgrading to the Pro Edition will be in place, or if it is, how do I navigate to it?
