    What is this all about, Herb & Co?
    Just the same as before? Or new articulations, new string sound? BETTER and more realistic strings???

    I mean it is already a big step forward to get rid of the Tascam software.
    But will those strings sound different to those we already own?

    ?? Their strings are very realistic. I suppose everyone has their own taste but I love the detail you can hear in them. They said they would have the comparison charts up soon.

    A very big bump. Even more than the debate raging on with $$ - the 'new' strings are what I am most eagerly awaiting demos on.

    Demos will be delivered when the final mapping and testing is finished.

    For the orchestral strings there will be new articulations (like all other instruments)
    Focus is on the fast performances (legato, detache, spiccato) performance trills, and forced attack performances.
    My favorite patch is a intervall legato espressivo with sordinos.
    There will be a general "new articulations" overview for all collections online in the next days.

    I'm surprised you didn't think it was important for the consumer to hear sample/demos of what you're selling. After all it's all about how it's sounds that will make us want to buy it, right? Isn't the logical order of this is to 1st listen to the demos, 2- see the detailed articulations 3- price.

    I can't help myself saying that it seemed you did this backwards(sorry for how that sounded...)

    As far as I could gather from the video, 'interval legato' is just the real name for the legato patches.

    Herb - Will there be expressivo legato patches which aren't sordino?

    What is the 'expressivo' part of the equation??? Is the vibrato cross faded (deeper with a controller function). If so - very cool (hopefully it is not just filter stuff).

    Well, the strings are played espressivo. And yes, you can crossfade this patch with any other legato of the string section.

    I'm hoping that (Stings I, and Strings II) of the Symphonic cube sound much better than the Pro-Edition strings. (which was the main reason why I did not buy the VSL Pro-Edition).

    I'm Looking forward to hearing the Strings I & II, of the Symph.Cube.

    Strings I and II are the " MOST CRITICAL " Part of the Symphonic Cube as far as I'm concerned, and I'm sure they will sound better.

    While no other developer gets EVEN close to VSL on the WW's / legato (and most not equal on the brass - escpecially the Epic Horns) - VSL's strings are needing a facelift. Personally, I find myself still hiring string players to play on top of ANY sample string library - just loved to not have to go to that expense to get an expressive string section (especially the higher range material).

    My expectations of the new string recordings/programming is realistic, though. IMHO, we are 5 years before ANYONE comes close to a real string section. I fool most musicians with most of the other sections, but strings... [:'(]

    The day will come though - my bet that it will be VSL that will accomplished this momental task.

    While this will all be revealed eventually, I am really quite curious as to how things are divided between Strings I and Strings II?
    As an Opus bundle owner, would getting only one (purely for financial reasons of course! [[;)]] ) be a coherent upgrade? Does the StringsII package focus more on new things that were not previously available, and thus make a more tangible (purely in terms of new articulations) 'upgrade'?
