  • DOES Solo Strings have a 'ready to play' violin?

I'm considering getting Solo STrings to replace my Opus 2 Solo Violin in a film project. What i'm wondering is if there is a keyswitch perf.legato that is easy to play out of the box ?
I shudder to look thru all 29 gigs or put together layers, at the moment.

    Thank you !

If you want to play legato, then "yes". However, for any instrument to sound the least bit convincing you will have to be prepared to use multiple articulations.

    DG

  • I found the articulations listed at the VSL site.
I think it will be possible to be 'the least bit convincing' with this.

  • The Basic All programs are all ready to play.

(I assume Solo Strings has those - the First and Pro Editions have them for every instrument.)

  • Nick thanks,
so there is a Basic All.
    Perfect. I'm sold.

  • Lynne,

Yes use the Basic all - write the line with the sus one and then piecemeal in the correct articulations. Takes time by the results are good.
