I have just received the demo cube and have been trying out the legato patches (tenor trombone and cellos) with the performance tool. The realistic transitions between the notes created by the performance tool sound wonderful [:D] , but I was slightly troubled by the lack of expression control [:(] . I would like to be able to modify the volume and timbre of a note for example by sending expression control changes from my MIDI controler, or by setting up a new patch with a low pass filter controled by the mod wheel. But when I tried to do this, I found that the performance tool seems to filter out MIDI control changes! When I move the controlers on my keyboard the intended effect simply does not occur. When I disconnect the performance and just play directly into Giga Studio I do get the control change effects (but then of course I loose the legato).
Is this is a limitation of the demo version, or does the full version also filter out controler changes?
One further point: I can add expression while also using the performance tool by using the Giga Studio MIDI control surface sliders. But this is obviously not good enough. I want to be able to control expression from my keyboard or sequencer.
