I did little tuning adjustments on D#2 and E2 in mf and f.
Our tuning team will have another look at it after finishing the Pro Edition.
For the Celli staccatos I'm not sure what we should adjust.
Forced playing causes sometimes overtones, to avoid them, means playing with less force.
In real life these things are no problem, for a sample library you have to find the right balance between "pure sound" and playing artefacts.
I personally want to develop the library to more forced samples.
One example will be fff 0'3s notes of the Double basses (in the Pro edition)
It's incredible what kind of playing noise the players are producing.
The ff espressivo of the celli, I would say these are bow changes.
At this dynamic level the players have to change 3 to 5 times for a 4 second tone. The players try to make the changes as "invisible" as possible, and in a random progression.
In some notes the changes are a little louder.
Generally thanks a lot for the input.
You can post or email mapping errors or similiar problems to
office@vsl.co.atWith the Pro Edition release we also want to offer a dedicated support site here, with artfiles, FAQs and so on.
I'm going to finish the Pro Edition mapping within the next 2 weeks.
After that I have time to make any corrections.
best wishes
