Hi! everyone...
I was just wondering - I have a Yamaha P-120S digital piano (88 keys, weighted keys) and a yamaha motif ES 6. I alternate between both to trigger my vsl samples. I like a soft key touch for most sounds but use the weighted keys for the piano samples.
I have just been reading articles online and everywhere people are talking about who useful master keyboards are. Is there anything special that these keyboards have in terms of programability with MIDI? Also - is there a change in touch response - is it better?
While my Motif ES touch response is great for motif sounds, I find it a bit different while using it for vsl samples. How would a semi weighted keyboard do? I would get rid of the digital piano but it kind of sounds good and I find the Giga piano slightly bright for my needs and havnt really been able to tweak it to my needs that much. And obviously, I cant use key switches on my motif cuaz its only 61 keys.
Any advice to improve this set up? You see - I got the keyboards way before I purchased Giga.
Thanks.
Regards,
Tanuj
