    I have a P4 2.53G, 2 HDs, samsung DVD rom, 1gig ram PC just for gigastudio 160.

    I have managed to transfer 95% of fies from DVD to my Maxtor 120G HD. Howver, the trumpet -C folder, I just cannot transfer, coz of some invalid MS-DOS function???

    this is rather frustrating. Could it be that the file itself is corupted?

    Hi!

    How much disk space is left on the target HD? Is there still enough space available for storing the data of this folder? Go to the DVD click the right mouse button on the folder. This amount of space propably is not available anymor on your disk...

    Is the disk formatted to 1 or two partitions?

    What Windows version are you working with?

    this sounds like W98 or ME .... Trumpet in C seems to be located on the second layer of the DVD and some DVD-drives have problems reading this.
    i'd ask you - as always [;)] - to please try to clean DVD and/or DVD-drive resp. if you have access to another drive to try it there.
    does this apply to the whole Tr-C folder or only to single .gig-files?

    I’ve just transfer the Complete Orchestral Package on a Maxtor Diamond Max Plus 9 120Go, 8MB cache.
    No troubles. (Folder by folder)
    It takes 4h30 whith my LITEON.

    I have a question about hard drives. I open a thread on it.
