My old PC can run Opus 1?

Hi,
I'm thinking of purchasing Opus1 and running it either with Gigastudio 3 or Kontakt 2. I've an old PC and thinking of using that for my samplers alone.
My PC Spec:
CPU: P4 1.6GHz
Ram: 512 MB (thinking of upgrade to 1G)
Hard Disk: Seagate Barracuda 7200 120G
OS: Win XP Home edition

IS this PC sufficient to run Opus1?
Any risk or problems that I need to be aware if I use such an old PC? Anyway that I can work around those problems?
Is gigastudio format a better choice then Kontakt? Why?

Hi keekee,

you should upgrade to 1 GB RAM, and I am not really sure about the XP Home edition (maybe someone can halp me out here?), but your setup should be fine (I´m running one of my GS 3 on a P4, 1 GHz, no problem).

A good soundcard is always helpful.

Both programs have the same features and programs available. If you alreay own one of these samplers, stay with it. If not, it´s a matter of taste in my opinion.
