Hi
Im using two pcs as servers to my main sequencing PC and currently all Studio SE sections are playing from one of the servers.
That server is struggling to cope with all the sections so I'd like to keep the strings on 1 server and run the brass and woodwind on the second server to spread the load.
I can see that it's possible to download the seperate Studio SE sections in Vienna Dowload Assistant but I can't see how I activate them through Ilok.
Is it possible to split the Studio SE sections beyween two servers?
I have three VEPro licences and Ilok dongles.
The answer is understandably no. You cant split the SE sections over seperate machines. Fair enough for the overall amazing bang for buck of the Special Editions. To fix my issue I've hosted piano and percussion on my sequencing PC and there's no latency at all.
I've also fashioned a quick fix for not always having a piano sound at hand when working in my DAW. I have a 2nd small Arturia keyboard controller that sits on top of my main 88 key controller. The small keyboard is connected to sequencing PC over usb and is routed to a standalone instance of Arturias' bundled piano vst that is open outside of Cubase. So no matter what instrument is selected in cubase I can always access a piano instantly to find parts. I can't record that piano instantly but it's a great quick little time saver having it available.
