    I'm having this same issue with my PC that has Vienna Ensemble Pro Server and my Mac which has my DAW. When I try to add a Spitfire instrument to my Kontakt player inside a Channel in VEP, I get the same message, "Instrument not initialized".

    From the answer above it seems he was forced to have his DAW running on the Mac the same time he was modifying the PC. That can't be right. The purpose of the VEP is to set all of that up before you even touch your DAW.

    When I use the standalone Kontakt player on my PC and load a Spitfire instrument, it works fine.

    What am I missing?
