    I have been making virtual orchestration videos recently and adding screen captures of MIR 3D.

    I have noticed that at times the source icons color effect has a weak rendering of the input gain parameter.

    This feature is not very important, but if easy enough to implement, would help in making videos "pop" more:

    a tool parameter to adjust the scaling of the color effect (alpha value? maybe saturation too?) of the input gain.

    Again, a purely cosmetic FR, but could be cool to make videos "dance" for the eye candy.

    Thanks for your suggestion! I understand what you're after I admit that this might be not the next top-level feature request 😉, but I'll make sure that VSL's developers take note.

    As a temporary workaround, it might help to choose colours that stay in contrast to the floor of the selected Venue Map.

    MIR 3D is already quite photogenic, so it does well for presentation.

    I won't change my part colors though as I am very attached to my color coding,

    but you are right: horns, trumpets, trombones and violins have the hardest time to be seen as I use yellow/orange/light brown.

    Please don't under-estimate the need for better contrast between icons and their background. I've fought this ever since owning the original MIR. Squint and zoom... zoom and squint... peer, squint and zoom again.

    The congestion between numerous icons of a similar type may be a necessary evil, and for that we have -- as the manual says -- hide so you don't have to seek.

    But VSL surely has the brains and digital chops to solve the contrast issue. As @VirtualVirgin notes, there's a number of colors that are problematic, and a couple that are just plain unusable.
